fallin' for pumpkin

If you know me,
You know I love all things pumpkin.
I think that is why I love fall so much.

Nothing says fall like a delicious pumpkin menu.
So I am just a little bit sad October is ending.
But pumpkin will be around for at least a few more weeks.

Some of my favorites...

ice cream {Nielson's pumpkin concrete with brownies}
Jamba juice
Hershey kisses {try these if you have not}

The Masonic Temple

It was interesting.
Not what I was expecting.
But interesting nonetheless.

KaDee's Bridal Shower

Last week I had Kadee's bridal shower.
It was fun!

I am so excited for her and Riley.
I am so happy they found each other.
They are the perfect couple.
In just 10 days they will be married!
I can't wait to share this special day with them.

Here are a few pics of the shower.

Love you KaDee!

patient for change

I have said it many times.
I don't love change.
So it may seem odd for me to say this...

I need some change in my life.

I feel like everything and
everyone around me are progressing in life.
And I am just in the same place.

I feel like I am ready for a change.
A change in school.
A change in my job.
A change in my ward.
A change in my social scene.
A change in life.

for now,
I will be patient.
{another thing I am not that good at}

I am willing to wait to have two marshmallows.
Something good is coming my way.
I know it.

"God's promises are not always fulfilled as quickly or in the way we might hope. Patience means staying with something until the end. Keep the commandments. Trust in God our Heavenly Father. Exercise faith and hope in the Savior. And never give up."

{I cannot get it to be smaller...}

Pink Series Half

Saturday was the
Pink Series Half Marathon
in Park City.

It was a beautiful day!
I am glad I did this race.
But now I am ready to turn in the running shoes for a bit.
Just till January when training for Moab starts.

This race was good.
The course was a lot of the Park City Half course
which I did not love,
but it's okay.
It was beautiful with all the fall colors.

I think in my head I was envisioning this race to be like
the Race for the Cure.
But it was not.

It didn't really have much to do with breast cancer.
No balloons, little amounts of pink, etc.

Oh well.
It was fun!
Glad to have it done.

Thanks Jen and Mekelle for joining me!

wedding of the year

It's no secret.
I love weddings.
Especially a really good one.

Karlie got married on the 9th.
And let's just say
it was a good one!

Karlie was gorgeous!
And so happy she sparkled.

I really liked these ice block vases.

Such a beautiful wedding!

Nightmare on 13th

Monday I joined the 52nd ward for FHE.
They were going to a haunted house.
I wanted to go to one this year
so when I found out they were going,
and for only six bucks,
I was in.

We went to Nightmare on 13th.

I remembered why I don't go to haunted houses.
They are pretty lame!

There were a few cool parts.
But for the most part, not so much.

We had more fun singing and laughing
instead of being scared.

Overall it was a good time.
Glad we went!

After the haunted house
we went to Applebees.
I don't know what had gotten into us,
but we were a little crazy.
I blame the haunted house!

These pictures are all horrible,
but way too funny not to share!

I guess you just had to be there...
