{Utah Temples} Mount Timpanogos

Tuesday night I made the journey to
the Mount Timpanogos Temple.
It was lovely.
I am so glad I went.
The layout is
pretty much just like the Bountiful Temple.
I can also now say that I made it to {almost} all of the temples in Utah in 2010.
I never made it to Monticello.
It's just so far away!
Maybe I will take a road trip there next year.
12 out of 13 is not bad!

Merry Christmas

I wonder, what does Christmas mean,
with it's stars and shiny balls?
Is Christmas more than Christmas trees
and toys and dolls?
Of this I'm sure...
There's something more,
for I've heard many say
that in a strange and far-off land,
a child was born this day.
And Christmas is to celebrate
his coming from above.
He showed us how we all should live
and told us how to love.

D Arch

Friday night I went to the
Mormon Tabernacle Choir Christmas Concert.

It was amazing!

David Archuleta was the guest this year.
He is a cutie!
Still a little awkward and shy like when he was on American Idol.
And I loved it!

It was such a great way to get in the Christmas mood.

After the concert we walked around
Temple Square for a bit.

Rebecca is in in town for a little while
and it was so much fun hanging out with her again!

Graduation Celebration

After our last class ever Thursday night,
a few of us went to dinner to celebrate.

It was so fun reminiscing and catching up on life.
And of course,
fun celebrating being done!

Nothing says celebration like some delicious Thai food
and some Christmas light cheer.

done done

It feels like it's been a long time coming.

Probably because it has.
Or maybe it's because these photos were taken in April.

But,
either way,
today is my last day of school.
Ever.

I am so thankful for the opportunity I had to go to school.
I really loved LDS Business College.
I met some great people.
And made some lifelong friends.
I learned a lot about myself.
About Interior Design.
And about design in general.
I learned what I want and don't want in life.
I learned there are ways to make things happen.
Things I never thought possible.

After a lot of late nights.
A few xacto knife cuts.
Lots of hot glue gun burns.
A few tears.
{who am I kidding? A LOT of tears}
A few hundred pieces of foam core.

I am done.

And it feels so good.
I am a little scared to grow up.
To have to work full time.
But it will be so nice to just work.
And not have hours of homework to do.
It's time for me to grow up.
Just a little bit.

I would like to thank everyone that has helped me on this journey.

First of all.
My dad.
Without him none of this would have been possible.
Not only financially,
but emotionally too.
And putting up with eating cereal for dinner
more nights than not for a long time.

My sister Kristy.
She helped me so so much.
Lots of times just listening to me complain
helped more than she knows.

And my great friends.
School friends and not school friends.
Kendra and I have been in this together from the start.
I love her!
Between Kendra and Karlie, this experience was all worth it.
I love those girls.
And tonight we will celebrate!

I also hope that my mom had a little part in this.
I like to think she did.
And I hope I made her proud.
This whole school thing would have been a lot easier with her here.
To encourage me,
support me,
and to wish me luck.
After each presentation I wished that she would be home that night,
asking me how it went.
I hope she knows,
not a day has gone by that I don't wish she was here.
As I embark on the journey of life,
I will look back and be thankful for all the great times I had at school.
I am excited to see what the future has in store for me.
And to see what adventure is next.

Tangled

My new favorite Disney movie.

They said that
Princess and the Frog
was the next classic.
I liked it, but not that much.

I loved Tangled.
I wanted to see it again right when it ended.
I laughed,
I cried,
I loved it!

I think this might just be the next classic Disney movie.
It is also the 50th animated Disney movie.

Go see it!

here we go again

Haven't ran one mile since the Pink Half in October.
Just found out today that we got into the Moab.

Better start running.
I did say in October that the next mile I run will be on a cruise ship.
And I am looking forward to it!

I am actually super excited!
It's time to put on those running shoes.

Wish me luck!

patience

"Some blessings come soon,
some come late,
and some don’t come until heaven;
but for those who embrace the gospel of Jesus Christ,
they come."

26

Another year has gone by.
I can't believe I am twenty six years old.

I had a really great birthday!
I am embracing this twenty six thing.
Why not? There is nothing I can do about it.

Celebrations started Wednesday with cake at work.
Thanks Jeri!

Thursday was the actual day.

I didn't schedule my internship that morning
because I didn't want to wake up at 5 am.
I got LOTS of birthday wishes.
Texts, phone calls, songs, Facebook messages etc.

Kristy and I went shopping at my favorite store.
Madeleine L'Amour.
Thanks for the gift Jeni and Elaine!

Then lunch with Kristy, Grandma and Eliza.
It was fun!

Then Kristy and I went to some more stores
and did a little birthday shopping.

Then I had school for the rest of the day.
Last year I had school until 8pm on my birthday too.
But, this is the last time!

Cute Kendra brought me cupcakes so that made it all okay!
Thanks Kendra!

After school I had more phone calls, even Happy Birthday sung to me in German, and some visits.

Thanks everyone!

Friday the real celebrating began.

I worked of course.
I quit that day.
Then I went to lunch with a friend.

That night a bunch of friends took me to Settebellos for dinner.

After dinner we went to Temple Square.
It was beautiful!

Saturday the celebrating continued.
KaDee took me to lunch.
Dad took me to dinner.
Then that night Jonathan Evans and I had a combined birthday bash like last year.
His birthday is the first and we are the same age.
It's tradition!
It was a fun night!
Sunday we had family dinner.
It was delicious!
Thanks Kristy and Ben.
I also love that the First Presidency Devotional is on the Sunday of my birthday.
Always fun to watch that and celebrate.

Thanks everyone for making this birthday so great!
Here's to being 26.
It's gonna be a good one!
I can feel it...
