best friends

Last night I went to dinner with one of my dearest friends.
We don't see each other a lot.
Or nearly as often as we should.
But every time we do see each other it's like no time has passed.

Amanda and I became best friends in 7th grade.
Now she is living in Las Vegas,
married with two beautiful children.
My how time flies!

There were 6 of us girls that were together constantly.
As Amanda and I talked about those days we had some good laughs.
We had some really fun times!

Through the years we have all changed and moved on.
But I am so thankful for this girl
and the amazing example she was then and still is.

And it is so much fun to get together when we have a chance.
We decided last night that we need to get all 6 of us together again
it's time we all get together and reminisce.

I finally got to see Wicked this year.
The second to last day of the Salt Lake tour.
Saturday was the day we had been looking forward to for 9 months.
Yes, it was my 5th time seeing it,
but I was still so excited!

I love Wicked.
The very first time I saw it was in New York sitting by my mom on the 4th or 5th row.
That is something I will never forget.
And I know that is why Wicked has such a special place in my heart.
It always will.

We started the day by going to City Creek for a bit.
Then we had yummy lunch at the Nordstrom Cafe.
Then we headed to the show.
I loved every minute of it of course.
And cried through several songs.
It was fun being there with Kristy, Michelle and Abby and Avery.
It was fun to see the girls' excitement.
After the show we got some Ruby Snap and headed home.

It was a long but great day!
I love days like this.
We need to do it more often!

temple date

Friday night Ryan and I went to the Salt Lake temple.
It was a lovely night.

I forget how much I love that temple.
I usually get a little lost just because I'm not used to it.
But I love going there when the Bountiful is closed.

It was a perfect night!

finally home

It's almost been a month now.
I can't believe it.

So I guess it's time for some pictures.

When I went around I realized that my house is filled with things I love.
It reminded me of this quote from William Morris that I heard in school.

It was a rough road getting here,
but I am loving having my own space.
I just love the feeling of being on my own.
Being able to have people over when I want.
Or just to be alone if I want.
I love everything about it!
{until I have to make a payment next month}

I have to say I am so thankful for everyone that helped me out.
Ammon and Jason did so much for me!
Moving boxes,
setting stuff up,
picking up my bed and other furniture.
Anything I needed.
They were both so great to help me.
And thanks everyone else who helped along the way.

here are a few of my favorite things around the house.
Come on over if you'd like to see more.

Happy Friday!

Brigham City Temple

Saturday we went to the Brigham City temple open house.
It was a long hot day but totally worth it!

The temple is beautiful!
The glass, the wood, the trim, the fabric.
I just loved it.

I am so glad we got to go.

After the temple we went and had dinner at Maddox.
I could eat that fresh peach pie everyday!

Ryan served his mission in Belgium.
He always talks about making crepes
so we finally did it Friday night.

No better time then when there are fresh peaches.

They were tasty!

We made and ate crepes
and then went and met a few friends for an outdoor movie.

It was a fun night!

Cuban Night

Last week the City Creek Harmons had a Cuban party class.
It sounded fun so we went to see how it was.

It was pretty fun.
Not quite what I was wanting,
but we had a good time.

I sure am ready for some cooler weather though!
