My cousin Vicki is pretty great.
I look up to her so much.
For so many reasons.
She is a great mother, wife, sister and friend.
She can cook and throw parties like nobody's business.

I hope to be like her someday.

She was here a couple weeks ago for a month or so.
I saw her a couple of times around.
I showed her my new empty house.
We went to lunch one day.
It's just always fun to see her and catch up.
I'm sad she's gone
but Kristy and I just planned a visit to go see her in Ohio!
I am so excited!

Can't wait to see what Ohio has to offer!

loaf love tour

Working for a grocery store has it benefits.
The past few weeks we have had the
Tillamook Cheese Loaf Love Tour
touring around to some of our stores.

Ryan and I went to the one at the Station Park store and it was kind of lame.
I actually just had to take some signs up there
and it happened to be the same day.
I expected it to be more exciting than it was.

Last week they came to the office and did a lunch for us.
Tillamook redeemed themselves!
It was a fun little lunch of grilled cheese sandwiches and the works.

I think what really did it for me was that they let me sit IN the loaf bus.
Something most people never get to do.

You know what they say...
All you need is Loaf.

2012 Summer Games

I love the Olympics.
I don't know why.
I just always have.

I think it is because everyone,
everywhere in the world comes together.
And because watching these amazing athletes
make me want to be a little better.
Push a little harder.

I am excited to see some of the events in the next few weeks.
And I am excited to see the opening ceremonies tonight.
That is my favorite part.
I've heard London is doing things a little bit different.
It will be fun to see.

Happy Olympics!

eventful weekend

This weekend was full.

I don't really want to go into a lot of detail but it consisted of the following...

Working way too long Friday night
Bountiful parade {missed most of it due to work}
Mueller Park fireworks
Moving {almost done}
Hanging out with Ryan
Family birthday dinner for dad
Meeting new people {Brenda and kids}
Bike parade and dessert at Jason's
Batman movie
Family dinner at home for dad's birthday {I skipped out early}
Ryan's family party

Now I am on to a week of finishing moving
and then heading to Bear Lake.

Happy Pioneer Day tomorrow!
I just found out I am only working half day.
Better than all day I guess!

Star Valley Half

Last Saturday I ran the Star Valley half marathon.

I have done these races not 100% trained in the past
but this was probably the least trained I've ever been!
I even thought about not doing it...
But for some reason,
I just hate to sign up and then not do it.

Kristy signed up
and about a week before Haylee decided to join us.
We had a great time!

Haylee and I stayed together most of the race.
It always helps to have a running buddy.

The course was beautiful!
How could I not run the Star Valley half?!

I had a lot going through my head those 13.1 miles.
I think running in Star Valley got me thinking.
Lots of changes going on in my life.
To be running in a place where a lot of my childhood memories were made
just got to me.

I was happy to see my dad at the finish line.
This was the first race of mine he has come to.
I guess Star Valley will get him!
It meant a lot to have him there.
Probably more so than any other race.

I will probably be doing this again.
It was a really great race.

Time has been flying by!
Lots of updates coming.

Last week was Kristy and Dan's wedding.

It was a beautiful day!
I am so happy for them.
They are perfect together.
I just love them both and am so happy we are friends.

The whole event was perfect.

Tuesday night was the dinner at Hotel Park City.
Wednesday morning was the ceremony at the Draper temple.
Wednesday night was the reception at This is the Place.

It was a beautiful day.
Beautiful couple.
Beautiful ceremony.
Beautiful wedding.

Congratulations to the Black's!
Love you both!

Saturday night I made my annual Bees game outing.
Ryan and I went to dinner and then met KaDee and Riley for the game.
Bees games are so long!
We went late because there were fireworks so we had to stay to the end.
And I get free tickets so it's worth it.

The weather was so nice.
It was a lovely summer night.

After the game and fireworks we went and got some Iceberg.

It was so fun to hang out with KaDee and Riley.
We'll have to do it again soon!

I think I have seen my share of fireworks for the year.
We went to Eaglewood on Tuesday and Sugarhouse last night.

Eaglewood's were way better!

Happy 4th of July!

Tolman Reunion 2012

Another Tolman Reunion has passed.
I think this was the 22nd year.
It's crazy to think about how much has changed in the last 22 years.

The schedule this year was pretty much the same as every.
Although it felt really really different.
But life is changing.
Things are different.

Canyon Thursday.
Pool, golf and park Friday.
Pool, fishing for some and saw Brave Saturday.
Home Sunday.

We also celebrated grandma's 85th birthday.
Happy birthday grandma!

And thanks for all the great memories!
