lazy cabin weekend

We went to the cabin for the weekend with some friends.
It was so nice to just be lazy and spend time away.

We ate, played games, played with the babies, laughed and had a great time!

We're already planning a summer trip!

there is beauty all around

Saturday night we went downtown.
I love going to Temple Square during the springtime.
I think it's even better than at Christmas.

We started our night with a delicious dinner at Alamexo.
I had been wanting to go there for awhile now
and it did not disappoint!
It was seriously amazing.

Then we headed to Temple Square.
It was so nice!
I love the flowers!

We just walked around for awhile and had a lovely evening.

Saturday afternoon we went to the Jordan River temple.
It was a lovely day.

The weather was so nice I could have sat out and enjoyed the flowers all day!

easter eggs

Last night for FHE we dyed some Easter eggs.
I forgot to get a kit so I asked Ryan to stop and grab one on his way home.
He got a clay kit.
I wondered what it would be like but it was so much fun!

I thought I made a super great egg with my flowers
then Ryan revealed his Mr. Potato Head masterpiece...
He wins best egg of the night!

Now I guess we'll be eating egg salad sandwiches for dinner this week!

picnic time

Friday night we were going to go hike Ensign Peak and have a picnic.
By the time we were both home from work and ready to go the sun was already setting.

We decided to pack our picnic and go to Hogan Park to eat instead.
The weather was so nice!

We ate and then got chilly fast so we headed back home.

I love picnics and can't wait for many more when the weather is even nicer!

I love General Conference weekend.

There were so many inspiring messages.
I feel like so many of them were just for me.
I especially loved President Uchtdorf's talk.
Every word he said.

I can't wait to read and listen to them again.
