MS Kickball

Tuesday was the 3rd annual Harmons MS kickball day.
Always a fun day!

Unfortunately it rained and rained so we didn't even get to crown a champion.
We made it to the semi finals but then the fields were getting flooded so we called it a day.

It was fun to be there for this event.
It was my first day working since I had Hunter.
Kristy watched him so I knew he was in good hands.
I missed him and was happy to get back to him and have some snuggles.

Memorial Day

Monday was quite the day at our house.
Hunter was just being a little stinker and trying my patience.
A grumpy baby made for a grumpy mommy.
We finally got out of the house and went to hike Ensign Peak.
It was a fun little family activity.

Hunter was really good the whole way up but I think he was ready to be done by the time we headed back.
We stopped at Fizz on the way home and then had hot dogs and watched the Bachelorette. {don't judge}

It turned out to be a fun Memorial Day.

day date

Saturday we woke up and decided to go to an early movie and to lunch.
Dates aren't the same with a little one but we still try to get out.
We tried to get some headphones to cover Hunter's ears  but we just used a blanket instead.

It was a fun day out and Hunter was so good!
We sure love that little bug.

Payson Temple Open House

We had been needing to get Hunter a crib at Ikea
so when I realized Ikea was halfway to Payson I figured why not make it a day!

We headed to Payson and surprisingly got right in for the open house.
After the movie portion, the line to get in the temple moved quick.
Luckily we got right in as the rain started pouring again.

The temple is beautiful,
inside and out.
The outside is so intricate and the interior is immaculate.
I love how bold they are getting with the newer temple interiors.

After the temple we got some dinner and headed to Ikea.

We were all pretty exhausted by the time we got home
but it was a fun day.

I am so glad we made the drive down!

May 3rd was Hunter's baby blessing.
Ryan gave him a beautiful blessing
and then we had a hot dog BBQ at our house.

It was such a nice day spent with family and luckily the weather held out just long enough!

We are so blessed to have Hunter in our family and love him so much!
I cannot wait to watch him grow.

race for the cure 2015

Saturday was the annual Race for the Cure.
This was our tenth time doing the race.
The very first year mom was with us.

Unfortunately the weather was uncooperative and poured rain all morning long.
Instead of actually doing the race Ryan dropped me off to check out the booths
and then we went to Kneader's for breakfast.
Kind of a bummer.

Hunter's first race and we didn't even do it!
It was still a fun morning spent with some of the family.

Hopefully next year is better!

May 5th

Happy happy birthday!
I hope that you have a great day and get to do something fun.
Thank you for always being there for me and for being such an amazing example to me
of what a wife and mother should be.
Thank you for loving me and teaching me and helping me grow.

I wish you were here to snuggle my little Hunter.
I am so thankful that you helped pick the most perfect little boy to send to us.
And I am so glad that you got to be with him and kiss him goodbye when you sent him to me.
And to prepare him for this great big world.
Every time I kiss his chubby little cheeks it's like you're right here with me.

I love and miss you mommy,
Happy birthday!

Love, Jess

zoo day

Last week Hunter and I went to the zoo with Kristy, her girls and Haylee and her kids.
Kristy had an annual pass that expired at the end of April so we went on the last possible day!

It was a hot and busy day but we had fun!
I love doing things with Hunter even though he doesn't quite understand yet.

I always wonder what his little mind is thinking.
Everything is so new to a baby.
I wish I could know what he thinks of this great big world.
