i love to see the tempum

We went to the church history museum, temple square and lunch at the Lion House Pantry
last week with Ryann and Rhonda.
Ryann had school off so we had to take advantage and hang out!
Hunter loves to play with Cael.

We had a really fun day!
Hunter would say 'Jesus' at all the pictures and of course loved the temple.
He calls the temple tempum and I secretly love it!

live tonight like there's no tomorrow

Last week we were wild and crazy and stayed up way too late to see Ingrid Michaelson in concert.
Man, I just love her!
Her music always feels like it came right out of my very own soul!

Some girls in my ward were going so I invited Kristy and myself to join them!
We saw the Register clan and had a great time.

I haven't been to a concert in a really long time.
Especially a standing only one...
Let's just say I felt real old by the end.

But it was such a fun night!

Gardner Village

We love to go see the witches at Gardner Village every year.
Hunter is at such a fun age right now that he loves doing and seeing all these new things.
Holidays are so bright through his eyes.

pumpkin patch

Hunter is obsessed with pumpkins!
It's so fun to see him get excited every time he sees them.
Let's hope he loves snow as much come winter!

Star Valley Temple

I still remember the day this temple was announced at General conference.
Then we went to the groundbreaking ceremony.
Then we watched it go up each time we visited the cabin.

I couldn't let the open house pass by without going to visit.
It was hard to find a time that would work with schedules.
My dad offered to take Hunter and I on a quick overnight trip.
It was a lot of driving for a very short stay,
but I'd say it was worth it.

We went last Thursday afternoon.
We went to the cabin to get the heat turned on and then headed to eat.
We had a yummy dinner at the fish place.
By the time we got to the temple it was snowing like crazy!
Luckily we got right in so we weren't too cold.
When we got out the snow had let up and it was a beautiful night.
We went to get an ice cream cone and headed back to the cabin.

Friday we just got up and headed home.
Shortest cabin trip ever!

Hunter was so good both ways and we had a nice little stay!

treehouse museum

We went to the Treehouse Museum in Ogden with Rhonda and Cael.
We loved it and can't wait to go back again!

There are so many cute and fun things to do there.
Some of Hunter's favorites were the trains and the panda bear hospital.

Go check it out if you haven't!

City Creek

Grandma Hazel has been dying to get to City Creek.
We finally scheduled a day and made it happen.

We had a grandma, 3 kids, a double stroller and a wheel chair.
We were quite the site to see!

We started with lunch, shopped and then ended with ice cream!

Grandma had a lovely day and finally found her white top she was looking for.
After hours of hunting...

It's fun to do things like this with grandma since we don't have our mom to do them with.
I am so thankful we've had grandma Hazel these last 11 years.
I'm not sure what we will do without her!

General Conference

“Saints can be happy under every circumstance.  We can feel joy even while having a bad day, a bad week, or even a bad year!

My dear brothers and sisters, the joy we feel has little to do with the circumstances of our lives and everything to do with the focus of our lives.

When the focus of our lives is on God’s plan of salvation, as President Monson just taught us, and Jesus’ gospel, we can feel joy regardless of what is happening—or not happening—in our lives.  Joy comes from and because of Him.  He is the source of all joy.  We feel it at Christmastime when we sing, “Joy to the world, the Lord is come.” And we can feel it all year round.

For Latter-day Saints, Jesus Christ is joy!”
