Sorensens See Hawaii {day 6}

February 16, 2017

We started the morning doing a session at the Kona Temple.
It was so nice to go and experience another beautiful temple.

After the temple we were all starving so we tried to find some food.
We stopped at an acai bowel place but of course we left there quick per the boys request!

Thanks to google maps I finally found Christine's Deli.
I wish we ate there every day after.
The best sandwich I have ever had, and I've had a lot of sandwiches.
Even Ryan kept raving about his so you know it was good!

Meanwhile Hunter was having a ball with his cousins at the beach.
It was so nice of Janae and Dennis to take him again.

We finally made it to Hapuna Beach for some water and boogie board time.
The waves were crazy here!
It was fun to have some time to play in the water before everyone else got there with Hunter.

Once Hunter got there the water was pretty rough but he loved playing in the sand
and building and knocking down sand castles all afternoon.

After the beach we made a last minute decision to head to Mauna Kea
so we grabbed some Subway and a smoothie and headed to the highest point of the island,
still in our half wet swimsuits and whatever clothes we could find!

We hiked about halfway up to watch the sunset.
It was beautiful!
I wish we were more prepared and had warmer clothes, it got chilly with the wind and sun setting.
Michelle got us all hot chocolate that saved the day!

The stars were incredible up there!
I have never seen so many stars in my life.
I wish pictures could capture it.

Another late night after a packed day!
